Beyond the Trailer
The term "Woke" can be differs for different person and it can mean different things to different people. Basically some people find this term as the racial prejudice and discrimination but sometimes it can just be the social awareness or cultural diversity and nothing more. So it can be describe positively like promoting equality or justice while it can be negative too like political correctness. So its the matter of opinion.
GTA fans are sensitive towards the idea that it's going woke
As we all know that Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer blew the internet and it got one of the highest viewed game trailer in just 24 hour which surpassed the top YouTube content creator like MrBeast. Although the trailer accumulated much hype and popularity, the game also received backlash, which is not surprising since Rockstar Games has faced controversies with previous releases. Rockstar has been developing games that consider social issues through satirical comedy, much like an episode of South Park. I hope this time GTA VI will do the same, making the game more interesting and delivering a positive message.
Some Grand Theft Auto fans are concerned that GTA 6 will be ruined by going beyond "woke". They found that in GTA 6 Trailer they found that 60-80% of NPC's or characters are blacks and they are amazed by this but this isn't necessarily surprising, given that the game's setting is inspired by Florida and Miami, which have large non-white populations. In my opinion its more like they are showing diversity rather than being "Woke".Even on the Timcast IRL podcast, it was argued that the focus on Black characters in the GTA 6 trailer isn't about being "woke," but rather about representing diversity.

GTA VI characters and NPCs in Trailer
After the official premiere of the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, some of the fans expressing their disappointment after they saw that majority of people are black and there are absence of white people, but this is not true because I also watched the trailer, and it definitely shows white people. I think it is racist, not woke or cultural appropriation. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas also featured a predominantly Black cast engaging in criminal activity. Back then, this wasn't a major concern. Perhaps, as with San Andreas, people will eventually accept the portrayal in GTA 6 if it reflects the reality of the setting.
Conclusion
GTA VI's portrayal of a diverse cast, reflecting a setting with a large non-white and immigrant population, has sparked some controversy. Rockstar Games might be aiming for realism, not necessarily pushing a specific agenda. Hopefully, open communication can help clear up misunderstandings with fans.
